LIBERTON AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
LASC is a registered charity and is managerially and financially independent from Liberton Primary School. The club is registered with the Care Inspectorate which inspects the club regularly to ensure the compliance with their standards (Our most recent report can be found on the care inspectorate website.)
The club is run by a team of staff including the manager, deputy and several play workers. The mandatory maximum staff: child ratio is 1:10 Monday to Thursday and 1:8 on Friday.
Our mission is to provide high quality, affordable childcare, enabling parents and carers to seek employment or studies with peace of mind knowing that their children are being cared for in a safe environment.
The Club aims to offer a safe, stimulating and child friendly environment for 4 to 12-year olds outside school hours Monday to Friday and during most school holidays. A wide range of play and learning activities are on offer, which include arts and crafts, sports games, imaginative and creative play as well as the opportunity for quiet time.
We actively encourage children to take part in a range of outdoor play opportunities throughout the year, which include sports games, loose parts play, garden club and adventure play.
